Liviu Monsted is a published playwright, director, producer and the Artistic Director of Mon Sans Productions.

 

His works have been professionally performed to full houses in theatres around Sydney such as the Parramatta Riverside Theatre, the King Street Theatre and the Factory Theatre for the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival.

 

Liviu has directed hit shows for Mon Sans Productions. These include, “Not a Word", "Hiding Jekyll", “In Waiting” and “STREET”.  Most recently he produced and directed the sold out premiere season of “The Various Methods of Escape” at the Actor’s Pulse.  Other shows he has worked on are “Heathers the Musical” at the Factory theatre for “Encore Productions” The Australian Premiere of “Prisoner’s Dilemma”.

 

As of 2020, Liviu has been the sole Writer and Director of “Deadhouse: Tales Of Sydney Morgue” a series of true crime immersive theatre shows. Works he has created for “Deadhouse” include the sold out season of “The Razor Gang Wars” and the acclaimed “Simmonds and Newcombe: The Deadly Run.”  

 

Liviu has been called upon as a script doctor and creative consultant for various theatre and film projects currently in development.

 

Actors he has directed have gone on to well established Australian TV series such as "Love Child" and "Deadly Women".

When not directing stage, Liviu works behind a camera on music videos for triple J unearthed artists such as “NARLA” and “Beautiful Friend”.  

 

Short films Liviu has directed for are “How to Quit”, “Paperbark”,  “It sets you free “which toured as part of Flickefest.  

 

As an actor Liviu has been featured in the web series “Sam and Sammy”, short films such as “How To Quit” and the feature film “Kick Ons”

 

In theatre he starred as Earnest in “The importance of being Earnest” “Jekyl and Hyde” in “Hiding Jekyll” and Victor in “Passing Time”
